The treatments performed in our clinic about implant treatment are as follows. Please click here for the details of the treatments.
At the beginning of the treatment, the prosthesis to be made according to the existing tooth deficiency is planned. Following the integration of titanium structures into the bone, the treatment is completed by attaching the prostheses made to the titanium structure.
The time from the placement of the implant in the jawbone to the installation of the prosthesis varies according to some factors, especially the structure and volume of the bone. Considering the current conditions, the prosthesis can be inserted in the session where the implant is placed, as well as after waiting for a while (average 3 months) for the implant to integrate into the bone.
Today, there are very few cases in which implant treatment cannot be applied. The most common problem is the lack of sufficient bone volume. In this case, other preparatory treatments are required before implant treatment. These are
Implant has become an indispensable practice of dentistry in recent years. It has important advantages such as eliminating tooth deficiencies without damaging neighboring teeth and saving the patient from having to use removable prosthesis in total tooth loss.
It is important for patients with implant prosthesis not to disrupt their regular controls and to apply the oral hygiene practices recommended by the physician correctly in order to prolong the life of the implant.
In implant treatment, in cases where the bone volume is not sufficient for the implant, the appropriate volume can be created with synthetic or natural bone grafts. After the graft is placed in the required area with this surgical procedure, it may be necessary to wait for a while for ideal bone formation.
In some cases, the gredt is placed during implant placement. In this procedure, the integration of the implant and the formation of bone tissue are expected to be together. In both cases, the ideal bone volume to support the implant is provided by grafts (bone powder).
The upper jaw is also in the back area in implant applications;
are the two most common problems.
These problems are successfully solved by sinus lifting.
Sinus lifting process aims to create the appropriate bone volume for the implant by moving the sinus wall up as a position and providing bone graft (bone dust) to the space gained.
It may be planned in the session where the implant will be placed or in some cases it may be necessary to apply it in advance as a preparation treatment for the implant.
In cases where there is not enough length or sufficient thickness in the bone to place the implant, an alternative treatment is distration osteogenesis.
In distration osteogenesis, it is aimed to gradually provide bone formation in the desired direction with special screws placed in the bone. The goal here is to physiologically form bone tissue by activating cells involved in bone formation without using grafts. Thus, the bone volume is increased in the desired direction and volume.
Distration Osteogenesis is also a treatment option especially in cases where lower jaw retardation needs to be treated with orthognathic surgery.
